TALENTGAL is offering new opportunities for postdoctoral researchers interested in developing their scientific careers in Galicia

TALENGAL is an international programme co-funded by the European Commission and Xunta de Galicia (Spain) and implemented through the CIGUS Network (Galician Research Centres of Excellence) and the three Galician public Universities (UDC, USC and UVigo).

A programme to boost international research careers

TALENTGAL aims to attract outstanding international research talent to Galicia while fostering the professional development of postdoctoral researchers across three main scientific thematic areas: Health & Biomedicine, Science & Life Sciences and Engineering & Technology.

The programme enables researchers to develop high-impact projects within an excellent scientific ecosystem. Fellows will benefit from complementary training, tailored mentoring, and both international and intersectoral collaboration opportunities, all closely aligned with today’s key scientific and societal challenges.

Research topics offered by TALENTGAL

TALENTGAL fellows will have the opportunity to develop frontier research projects across the programme’s three core thematic areas.

Within this framework, the programme offers a broad portfolio of research topics. Applicants may select predefined lines proposed by host institutions or submit their own project ideas, provided they align with the programme’s scope, and the expertise of the host institution and supervisor. This bottom-up approach encourages originality and supports the development of high-impact, innovative projects within a strong scientific ecosystem.
