TALENTGAL is designed for fellows who want to pursue ambitious, curiosity-driven research connected to real global challenges and strong regional expertise. The programme focuses on three core areas — Health & Biomedicine, Science & Life Sciences, and Engineering & Technology — aligned with smart specialisation priorities and Europe’s green and digital transitions. 

As a fellow, you can develop frontier research projects in fields such as precision medicine, environmental and marine technologies, advanced materials and nanotechnology, artificial intelligence and digitalisation, and sustainable industrial processes. You may select from a broad list of suggested topics prepared with host centres or propose your own research line, provided it fits the programme scope. 

This flexible, bottom-up approach gives you the freedom to shape an original, high-impact project while benefiting from strong institutional expertise, infrastructure and support.
